TRIP AROUND MADEIRA FOR SUNDAY JULY 3rd

Dearest Family and Friends!

We have organized a trip as a small thank you for coming to celebrate our wedding with us. The coach will pick you all up andtake you for a ride around some of Madeira's most beautiful attractions. As most of us will be curing a headache and having asleep in, the trip will take place between 14:00 and 19:00/20:00 on Sunday, July 3rd. This should offer you a great idea of thingsfor you to do and visit during the rest of your stay (and provide a nice view of the island for those staying for a shorterwhile). We will be joining you for this trip! 

Here are the details of the trip:

• Pick up points will be the same as the previous ones provided. The bus will depart from the Gorgulho Hotel pickup point at14:00, and then depart from the Rotunda do Infante pickup point at 14:15. 
• The coach will take you to places such as; Cabo Girão (one of the highest cliffs in Europe at 589 metres - with reallyamazing views), Porto Moniz (a naturally created swimming area by the sea - so bring your swimwear!), Paul da Serra(Madeira's largest plateau at a height of 1500 metres), and Sao Vicente (a lovely town on the northern coast of theisland).
• The trip is child friendly, and we'll be stopping for snacks and coffees (and poncha's if the night before wasn't enough of achallenge...). Please bring your swimwear and beach towels, hats if you have one, and perhaps a long sleeve top just incase it gets chillier in the mountains.

Queridos Família e amigos, 

Nos organizamos um passeio de autocarro, como um pequeno gesto de agradecimento por celebrarem o casamento connosco. O autocarro passara no Lido e na Rotunda do Infante e vos levara por algumas das mais bonitas atracções da Madeira. 

Como alguns de vocês poderão estar de ressaca, o passeio terá lugar entre as 14h e as 19h/20h no Domingo, 3 de Julho. Nos iremos convosco neste passeio.

Pormenores do Passeio:

• Os pontos de encontro são os mesmos do casamento. O autocarro sairá da paragem em frente ao hotel Gorgulho as 14h e na Rotunda do Infante as 14:15.
• Alguns dos pontos de paragem/passagem serão: Cabo Girão (uma das maiores falésias da Europa com 589 metros de altura com vistas magnificas), Porto Moniz (piscinas naturais junto ao mar- tragam o bikini!, Paul da Serra ( é o maior e mais extenso planalto da ilha da Madeira com cerca de 24 km², com uma altitude média de aproximadamente 1500 metros) e São Vicente (uma bonita vila na costa norte da ilha).
• Poderão trazer crianças/bebes, haverão paragens suficientes. Por favor tragam fato de banho, toalha e chapéu.

TRANSPORT TO CHURCH AND RECEPTION

Dearest Family and Friends!

We have arranged transport for all of you (visiting from abroad) to the Church and to the reception after the mass. The transport is a large coach and will have a sign in the front window with our names on it. It will pick you up from two locations. As the majority of you are staying in the Lido area and central Funchal, these will be the following pick up points:

• departure time 13:00 - bus stop in front of Gorgulho Hotel, Estrada Monumental - in the Lido area (google map link)
• departure time 13:15 - by the Rotunda do Infante - in the city centre (google map link)

We have attached maps for both pick up locations, with reference pictures of the area for you to recognize. Most of you should be able to walk to either of these destinations (within 5-10 minutes).

PRE-WEDDING DINNER ON THURSDAY - JUNE 30th // JANTAR PRE-CASAMENTO QUINTA-FEIRA 30 DE JUNHO

Dearest Family and Friends!

As most of you (who are coming from abroad) arrive in the next following days, we thought it would be nice for us all to meet for dinner and get to know each other prior to the wedding. We have booked a restaurant for Thursday June 30th for 8:30pm at Villa da Carne in Camara de Lobos. Attached is some information on the restaurant.

This is a great opportunity for everyone to meet each other before the wedding, and another excuse to PARTY!!

There will be a group set menu, €20 per person, of the following:

Beef on a Skewer, Grilled Chicken in the Pot and Grilled Streaky Pork

THE ALTERNATIVES

For fish lovers, we suggest as an alternative, TUNA STEAK WITH FRIED MAIZE

For vegetarians, we propose the ITALIAN INSPIRED SPAGHETTI WITH GRILLED PEPPERS

Children will be served with a minute steak and chips, or Black Scabard Filet, and charged 50%

For those of you who would like to come, please let us know so that we can give the restaurant numbers. Please let us know whether you'll need a ride, or in case you're renting a car if you can take someone. Otherwise, taxi's are always close and inexpensive. The address of the restaurant is:

Como a maior parte de vocês (os que vêem de fora) chegam nos próximos dias, pensámos que seria bom encontrar-mo-nos antes do casamento. Nós reservamos um restaurante para Quinta-feira, 30 de Junho, as 20h30, na Vila da Carne, em Câmara de Lobos. Esta é uma boa oportunidade para conhecerem as famílias e os amigos e no fundo, mais uma desculpa para festejar/ socializar. PARTYYYYYY!!! :):)
